Installing your musket sling on the Charleville and US contract flintlocks

1. Pull of the keeper or "loop" and set aside.
2. Pass the hook end through the attached lower sling loop.
3. Slide the attached loop swards the rear swivel.
5. Pass the hook through the top swivel and back towards the rear swivel.
4. Take the loose loop and insert it over the hooked end of the sling
6. Place the hook in one of the sling holes.
6. Slide the free loop up now to the upper swivel.
7. To tighten up the sling, move the lower loop up until the sling is tight.
This is how the attached sling should appear when proper stored or racked prior to use
